  1. Ford have invested half a billion US dollars into Rivian, along with 350 million from Cox automotive. Rivian is a company that only develops sustainable transportation and currently has building facilities in four US states and one in the UK. It was started by Robert Scaringe who got his doctorate from M.I.T. in mechanical engineering so you can rest assured he knows a thing or two about electrical engine design. So Ford don't need to change there research department when they can simply just expand it.

  2. Rivan is set to go into production at the end of 2020, they already have 5 production facilities. They bought the old Mitsubishi’s manufacturing plant in Normal, Illinois keeping on the old workers. It's a more or less done deal that you will see these cars next year and remember they have a real world distance of over 400 miles and a charging capability of less than 30 mins for there base model of 200 miles.

Ravin has been set up for over a decade now and have over five factories in place plus already have billions invested not only from for cox but also amazon just to name a few. They will support them into market and once successful simply rebrand the products as ford. The tesla cult mind set is going to get less and less over the next decade as more and more better priced alternatives are already coming to market. Tech can be replicated with without infringement on interletual property plus patents have a shelf life.

  4. So guys just wanted to give an update about Tesla alternatives. As per recent reports in the press the largest EV in history has just been placed and it's not with Tesla. Amazon has paid 5 billion USD for 100000 electric vans from Rivan. So that should put to sleep anyones thoughts thats Rivian isn't coming to market.

Norway are going all electric due to there energy supply, they get well over 98 percent of there energy from renewable sources mostly hydropower plants and most countries can't compete with that simply due to geographic reasons. Also Honda are currently at the forefront of EV cars, they have just introduced there honda e car which is possibly the most revolutionary small electric car out there in terms of design and affordability. It should be said that cars are only a small part of hondas business as engine design within most aspects of business, both domestic and industrial is there bread and butter. It goes with out saying that if gas is going to get phased out they have to be the first to adapt as there power equipment in the domestic market go from motorbikes and cars all the way to lawn motors..
