He just said Delta was basically 'gone' when in reality Europe has 33% Delta, North America has 22% Delta, South America 29% Delta, Africa has 21% Delta, Asia has 33% Delta, and Globally Delta is 29% in the GISAID data of sequenced samples run through the machines. In case you don't know about GISAID, that's the global health initiative set up originally to track influenza genomes. On January 10th, 2020 the first full genome sequence of SARS-CoV-2 was was posted on GISAID and then download by BioNTech, Moderna, and Johnson&Johnson who created the first vaccines from that data. Campbell is far less damaging than joe rogan, but both spread misinformation and and no qualifications in virology or immunology.

@doughill1945 You don't understand the statistics you are repeating. I'm going to assume you are not a virologist. You've probably never been to GISAID, or NextStrain, or CoVariants before and I'm guessing you've never spent any time in a genetics lab. GISAID has 7,662,207 variants on file. If your understanding is limited to Alpha-Delta-Omicron you have addressed 3 of those 7,662,207 variants and sub-variants. There are reasons for Ph.D.s in Virology. For Europe it's 33% Delta. North America has 22% Delta, South America 29% Delta, Africa has 21% Delta, Asia has 33% Delta, and Globally Delta is 29% in the GISAID data of sequenced samples run through the machines.

@joannedemarco4424 Wrong. Stop displaying Dunning-Kruger. There are 153,180 variants being tracked in California right now. Colorado is tracking 40,700 variants. Florida has 51,206 variants being tracked. New York has 31,379 variants being tracked. Source GISAID. The actual case history of 20H (Beta- B.1.351), 20J (Gamma- P.1), 21A (Delta- B.1.617.2), 21B (Kappa- B.1.617.1), 21C (Epsilon- B.1.427/9), 21D (Eta- B.1.525), 21F (Iota- B.1.526), and 20A/S:126A (B.1.620) among MANY other variants has already proved broad protection from variants. Don't talk nonsense out your rear end as you did above.

@dagnytaggart5216 That's completely untrue and debunked by reinfection data. There are 153,180 variants being tracked in California right now. Colorado is tracking 40,700 variants. Florida has 51,206 variants being tracked. New York has 31,379 variants being tracked. Source GISAID. Sylvie If you look at the real world data from actual history in tables like "End of season influenza vaccine effectiveness for all vaccine types, against influenza A or B viruses" and "End of season influenza vaccine effectiveness for all vaccine types, against influenza A(H1N1)pdm09 viruses" at the CDC instead of somebody's grift, you'll find you just lied to me and you're a liar for repeating lies unless you can present legitimate data to counter the CDC's data in which case I would apologize. The effectiveness varies from year to year and averages 40% which isn't high enough for me to think of getting, but it's been as high as 60% in the winter of 2010-2011 and as low as 10% in 2004-2005 and there are decades of long term study for these "developed that year" vaccines which was my point. Decades. This is an mRNA vaccine which is more like 97% effective. I've never had a flu jab and plan to never get one because I prefer natural immunity to anything that doesn't pose a potential long term threat to me. Covid is very different in severity of effects and danger to others. You should try studying virology and find out how it works. It's come a LONG way since the 1950s. Also, nothing generates lawsuits faster than processes that don't work or cause harm. Lawyers as a whole are eager people searching for any opportunity, most good, some bad. Ask yourself just how useless something can be before generating lawsuits. If you want real data, the CDC has plenty for you. I just looked and with ONE click you can get data covering 1,720,000,000 flu immunizations over the last dozen years. How can we possibly know anything about something tested over 1,720,000,000 times? LOL. To educate yourself, try listening to the podcast TWiV, This Week in Virology. Some of the panels are more accessible than others but some are outstanding in their presentation of real world data to laypeople. It's on the YouTube channel of Vincent Racaniello and you can get to it from google by typing "twiv". Racaniello is a Higgins Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons and a noted author on virology. PS: If a black cat crosses your path, it's OK, you can keep walking and the sun will continue to shine. Have a nice day.
