@bodhisattva3774 You don't understand virology and you are a fanboi. No piece of information in your world is longer than a soundbite, that's why you don't have an advanced degree and I'm sure you have no degrees in anything, much less in a scientific discipline. This is like trying to discuss differential calculus with somebody who barely understands addition. When I bring up that you have no clue what integrals are, you deflect to "you can't explain to me why I'm wrong because I'm not knowledgeable enough to understand just how little I know!"
1
@bodhisattva3774 I'm an engineer and a consultant, and 25 years ago I was building controllers that operate PCR machines. When did you first hear of PCR? Do you know what PCR means and understand exactly how it works? LOL. Companies such as Genentech have paid handsomely for my consulting services and my work for Medtronic has ended up in thousands upon thousands of postoperative cardiac surgical care facilities. And by the way... I have taken university level molecular biology. You just don't get it and you think the world is made of soundbites. Take a course in molecular biology; better yet take several years of university level study in molecular biology and virology. It shouldn't take you very long to see where Nurse Campbell's knowledge on virology is sorely lacking. It's not my job to attempt to educate you. You're akin to an elementary school student telling an advanced degree holder that he's invalid because you don't understand differential calculus and you need it explained to you in a soundbite. It's laughable.

@bodhisattva3774 "research he aggravates" 🤣🤣🤣 Your irony is magic in a thick sort of way. Genetics is unrelated? 🤣 Designing and manufacturing the controllers that operate PCR machines in unrelated? You're the blind lead by the blind. Eric Liang Feigl-Ding is a epidemiologist and an American public health scientist who is currently a Senior Fellow at the Federation of American Scientists in Washington DC. He was formerly a faculty member and researcher at Harvard Medical School and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Eric Liang Feigl-Ding has the credentials that Nurse Campbell pretends to have. You play the part of a fringe cucumber.

The US patent for using cannabis plant extracts to treat cancers is owned by GW Pharma Limited in the UK. The products are not available in the US because of, reasons. Have some more more beer and if you want to read the patent and are able to, the title is 'Phytocannabinoids in the treatment of cancer' owned by GW Pharma

Covid will likely continue as a pandemic for another 2-3 years for the unvaccinated and for the immunocompromised. The pandemic is essentially over for vaccinated people with functional immune systems. This is a fairly typical profile for a pandemic. Vaccinated people will periodically get extremely mild or asymptomatic covid and get naturally boosted, but there will be a little wave each winter. We already have 4 endemic coronaviruses this happens with and we call them bad colds because we have immunity. SARS-CoV-2 will likely eventually become a 5th common coronavirus we won't worry about, but it's a rough ride to get to that place.

@bb_binx Your comment is not rational. You should read the research results of the NIH funded research conducted by Dr. Donald Tashkin at the UCLA Geffen School of Medicine which showed the cannabis only smokers had 58% FEWER lung maladies than the non-smoking controls. That was the largest ever epidemiological study of lung function. You are spouting clownish bias. The only reason pot was made illegal was to fight people with brown skin and people who disagree with wars of conquest. The US Department of Health of Human Services owns a patent on the neuroprotective uses of cannabis extract. A UK company owns the US patent for using cannabis extract to treat cancers, specifically prostate, breast, skin, glioma, colon, lung or a bone or lymph metastasis. It's not the 1950s anymore and cannabis is NOT alcohol.

Sorryantivaxxer is full of stories covering people like you who repeat misinformation and disinformation as you're doing here, and then slowly drown in their own fluids.

Masks were the most effective tool we had before vaccines, but vaccines are the only safe way out of a pandemic as it naturally burns itself out. Don't stop masking if you want the extra protection though. I still carry a mask. The 1918 pandemic came in 3 waves with a little yearly echo every winter afterward and that was without vaccines. Vaccinated people are now well protected and the bulk of the unvaccinated have been sick at least once so they're working toward herd immunity. It's only the unvaccinated and the immunocompromised who have something to really fear.
1
@youtubelimo You should be looking for the whole body of research because this is very old news. For instance the Journal of Clinical Investigation reported back in 2005 that "Cannabinoids promote embryonic and adult hippocampus neurogenesis". That work was supported by grants from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan.

You're either a troll or dumbfoundingly ignorant.
1
To quote one of the originators of those lies and the first US drug tzar, "Reefer makes darkies think they're as good as white men." Are you going to repeat that one out loud too? 🤔
1
I'm amazed at the shadow banning here.
1
@robnisbet6797 No, anthony is an anti-vaxx and anti-mask troll.
1
@gnomechomsky2524 If you had knowledge and understand of the subject, it would make innate sense. On a per-site level, DNA viruses typically have mutation rates on the order of 10−8 to 10−6 substitutions per nucleotide site per cell infection while RNA viruses have higher mutation rates that range between 10−6 and 10−4. Herd immunity is broken by mutation. You're seeing this now with the spread of the Delta variant. The ONLY way to control this is for everybody to be vaccinated and for everybody to wear masks and practice protective distancing.

Racist much? Over half the people arrested in New York in the 1840s and 1850s were Irish, so that police vans were dubbed "paddy wagons" and episodes of mob violence in the streets were called "donnybrooks", named after a town in Ireland. Do you yearn for more racist times gone by?
1
@LostintheTwilightZone Try that reasoning with other slurs. 🤦♀️Try substituting the N-slur for 'paddy' and see how your logic holds up.

trump is a MESS.
1
@sidgarrett7247 That vaccine was able to blunt the pandemic as it emerged in 2009 and stop it from doing what it did in 1918-1919, but also, everyone has developed some degree of immunity and the first three recurrence waves in the winters of 1920, 1921, and 1922 demonstrate herd immunity in action. Influenza A(H1N1) is now endemic and you have antibodies for it. Influenza does it's thing in a big way roughly every 16 years and in a pandemic way roughly every 33 years.
1
The 1918 pandemic went away after a few years without any vaccines at all. I'm amazed at the lack of virology understanding here.
1
The virologists I've been listening to multiple times a week have said since the start you can expect this to last for 5 years. Try listening to This Week in Virology.
1
The 'booster shot' is really just the 2nd shot re-administered after the proper 6 month delay between shots for immune maturation.
1
The virologists I listen to every week have said since the start this will continue for 5 years. 5 Years..... Why would this doctor say he didn't think this would go on this long?
1
Try listening to better information sources, like This Week in Virology (TWiV). Fauci has been on TWiV. One episode of TWiV was broadcast FROM the ISS.
1
The reason the overwhelming majority of people are fully protected after 3 shots is somatic hypermutation.
1
The Satanic Temple does exceptionally good work.
1
@scottwill6498 Very true for Gen-X and younger Americans but above 50 the FAUX and typical network viewership ramps up steeply as does phonograph useage.
1
FDFdolls Doll Collector/Seller I think Warren is far more useful to America by remaining a Senator. You're spot on about the difficulty her shifting gives her. Meanwhile Bernie has been consistent for 40 years.
1
We have, but there is nobody as blind as one who will not look. 🔭 That's because cannabis is listed as a Schedule 1 substance. Did you know that the entire Federal research effort will ONLY fund experiments which attempt to find harm as the predetermined conclusion? The Journal of Clinical Investigation reported back in 2005 that "Cannabinoids promote embryonic and adult hippocampus neurogenesis". Did you hear that in 2005? That 2005 work was supported by grants from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan.

My name is Ron Johnson representing Wisconsin, I work in the government there. I’m dumb as a log and I smell like a dog and somehow just set fire to my hair.

Life is too short to live in texas. There's a reason it's the One Star State. Don't mess with texas, it's far too messed up as it is.
1
The 'booster shot' was really just the 2nd shot re-administered after the proper 6 month delay between shots for immune maturation. Most people have no need for more than 2 + the 'boost'.
1
Sorryantivaxxer documents these people and their journey from posting anti-vaxx/anti-mask memes to drowning in their own fluids.

@ld3511 Did you know that 1 out of 3 magas is just as intellectually ill equipped as the other 2?
1
Insurance data from California AAA showed that cannabis smokers had fewer accidents than 'straight' people. Ask yourself why the most decorated Olympic athlete in history has been photographed hitting a bong and why most extreme athletes love cannabis. On top of that, the largest study of lung function and smoking showed that cannabis only smokers had 58% FEWER lung maladies than non-smokers while the tobacco smokers had 20 time MORE lung maladies. Weed is not the boogieman you're trying to make it.
1
@kaninma7237 This has been tested extensively. Cannabinoids do NOT cause a dose-dependent effect as alcohol does. Driving a car while tuning the radio is more dangerous.
1
Ask yourself why elite athletes and cannabis are inseparably linked. Cannabis consumers have on average a lower body mass index regardless of the propaganda.
1
@cooljazzr No, you have difficulty with reading comprehension. Start with 75,000 mg of bud trim as i already stated. That's 75 grams of bud trim since you also seem to have difficulty with numbers. Now take a wild guess at potency because at that point 25 years ago giving weed to a lab would get you a DEA visit, but by today's lab results the potency was certainly be in excess of 25%. Conservatively I'll guess 20% THC while the real number was surely higher. Now do some very basic math and you'll find that 75 grams at 20% potency would result in 15 grams of THC. It was NOT terrifying at all. I had to go to the grocery store to buy more chocolate chips at the peak and I did but the 1 foot square floor tiles were hilarious for some reason. That was the worst of it.... laughing at linoleum. Stop with the drama queen bit, will ya?
1
@TheHonestPeanut You apparently have a problem with reality and apparently so does your buddy cooljazz. Why are you so insecure? You've certainly eaten 2 and 2/3 ounces of salad before? It's not that hard. I'm an embedded systems engineer and programmer by day and the funniest part of this for me is that you may own a product I engineered or write the firmware in, but what's the chance I own anything you engineered? 😂
1
@TheHonestPeanut Keep telling yourself that. Your aggressive, insecurity driven commentary broadcasts your deep feelings of inadequacy. You can go to a garden and eat 2 2/3 ounces of flowers yourself; it's not hard. Are you amazed to the point of disbelief that you can eat less than 3 ounces of a plant? 😂 And you can indeed buy stuff I've designed at places like Walmart, which does make this funny for me. What are the chances I own something that you made? I've probably got t-shirts older than you. Lol.

I'm glad your husband made it through, but you're referring to your opinion as more scientific than his reasoning which is a bit disturbing. Please listen to the virology show they listen to on the International Space Station which is This Week in Virology (TWiV). The host is a Columbia virology professor and the first one to sequence the genome of a virus. He literally wrote the main virology textbook in use today in Ivy League universities and he says it's time to move on from masks in most circumstances. That distinguished virologist has been more correct than Fauci and the CDC over this pandemic, and he has Fauci's number in his phone. Fauci has been on TWiV a couple times. Please watch.
