  9. Please remember that vaccines don't prevent infection, they prevent disease. The Polio vaccine doesn't stop you from getting infected with enterovirus C which is the Polio virus.... it stops you from getting Polio. The COVID vaccine doesn't stop you from getting infected with SARS-CoV-2 which is the COVID virus.... it stops you from getting COVID. OK, OK, so the COVID vaccines DO in fact give you some temporary protection from infection as an EXTRA, but that's just an extra and it's temporary. That's normal immune function.
