  39.  @KenS1267  Oh go stuff it. I worked for Uncle Sam too and I wore a badge here in America. My life was under threat here and I've received Federal Police protection. I also have multiple thousand hours logged as an UNPAID VOLUNTEER to the federal government. Do you? I think compulsory GOVERNMENT, not military, but government service should be mandatory unless you're an invilid. I've had to deal with Feds of all kinds and vets don't impress me by default after WWII. I didn't sign up to be a corporate tool and to destroy people in other countries as a paid mercenary, but I've known plenty of dim witted suckers who did give their health and their lives to General Dynamics, Raytheon, and Halliburton so that they could sacrifice their honor and integrity to hurt people for the profit of others. You got paid to destroy people's lives and futures so that contractors could profit. That's what you signed up for because that is the only mission available today. The last vets I will salute on sight are WWII veterans and most of them have passed. There are three stages to the life and death of an economy and thus a country.... This is cycle is repeated over and over throughout history. Which stage is the U.S. in? In the first stage the economy is vibrant and trading with neighbors grows. In the second stage the nation isn't content to just trade, but now it must control its trading partners with an expanding military. In the final stage the military spending corrupts the economy and conditions that created the economy in the first place vanish. The economy dies.
