Maybe you will laugh...years ago when I would go to camp in the winter, we would have an interesting problem...with the extreme cold and many guys making trips to the out house, we would end up with a poop 💩 pyramid. I remember my dad would would tell me to save him one sturdy branch from a tree 🌳 so we could knock down the pyramid. We also would use a bucket 🪣 of scalding hot water from the sauna bath to make things a bit less frozen. You jogged my memory with your pee pail being frozen. You know that tent with the pole...if you put hooks 🪝 on the pole, you can hang wet or cold clothes on it to dry and warm. I have seen Jon do this from LOST LAKES. I also saw the CAMPING CANUCK try out an aerogel sleeping bag. The company is BIIGLOO and 1 mm of aerogel gives cold rating of -40C. Check out their website. Very interesting product.
