@ecMathGeek In the United States, the seven-continent model is commonly taught, and the term "America" is often used to refer specifically to the United States, which can be seen as controversial or inaccurate since "America" technically refers to the entire landmass that includes both North and South America. In other countries, the 5 continents model is used, which considers America as one single continent. Referring to USA as America can be seen as arrogant, since it is dismissive to the other countries and cultures that exist here.

@EximiusDux I don't care if a thousand million people make the same mistake. It's still wrong.

If it's Chinese, then it's disconcerting that it works so well.

@ecMathGeek actually, sometimes we refer to Asia and Europe as Eurasia. And it's not a common usage. Only people from USA calls their country America due to a twisted believe that they're sacred people blessed with the magical destiny of ruling the entire world. If anything, people from other countries play along to either avoid nonsensical arguments like yours due to the usual inability of "USAnians" to accept simple truths that they dislike or because they're themselves similarly ignorant to or brainwashed by "the empire". (But I grant you that, geographically, having the "new world" divided in two could be as valid as having one giant continent)

redneckcoder Along many other things, the quality of Chinese products is ,in average, low. That's a fact. But your statement would reinforce my theory that they purposefully have flooded the world with low quality stuff to cause damage to other countries.
