  1. +Legacy77 Uh, no. 10 to the minus 7 torr is .0000001 torr, when there's 760 torr in one atmosphere, might as well be zero. Even .1 torr might as well be zero for all the difference it would make. Mechanical pumps can reach 10 to the minus 10 torr. There are specialized pumps that can get even lower. This is much better than the vacuum in near earth orbit. Space isn't a perfect vacuum. The problem with this experiment is that the motor was too big for the chamber. Go watch Peter Leane's videos with an ultra tiny motor (over 2000 times smaller than the Aerotech G77 used here), where the pressure guage showing zero didn't even twitch when the motor fired. And, yes, indeedy, it produced thrust.
