  2. @januainferni You're purposefully misinterpreting his intentions. He wants there to be consequences to spreading misinformation. Simple as that. Now it just happens to be true that political bloggers and social media accounts spread more lies and misinformation than what established media with real journalists and experts does.

  3. If a website distributes fake news it should be possible to take legal action. The content should be removed, bots that spreads that propaganda should be banned and the entire website may even have to be closed. Nobody has ever suggested that all of social media has to be shut down. Don't be so hyperbolic. What is being suggested is for there to be consequences to lies and misinformation. Fake news hurts democracy by lying to the people.
