This is what a democracy looks like. And had the result been 52-48 for remain, these protesters would be brexiteers, holding signs such as "it was rigged" and the anti-EU movement would march on and seek a second referendum. Nothing anti-democratic in that.

travel 360 degree The people voted on a non-binding referendum, and the UK is a representative democracy, not a direct democracy. So the people have all the rights in the world to protest the government acting upon the referendum.

travel 360 degree So you think that the act of protesting is "anti-democratic" because the 'majority' is against them? But most protests don't enjoy the support of the majority. You do understand that? What a weird society where only "the majority" on any subject has the right to voice their concern. Is it Putin's Russia you are lifting up as the model for democracy?

travel 360 degree So the minute the votes are in a subject is forever 'done and over' and the losers have lost and should stay quiet? Not exactly my vision of a healthy democratic discourse.

travel 360 degree The talks have already started for a future in the EU. Why waste time when the membership can yet be salvaged?

travel 360 degree Why hyperbolize? It is not to vouch for 'dictatorship' that the protesters are asking for the result of a non-binding referendum to be disregarded. These people wants a future within the EU and that can be secured already by not leaving to begin with.

travel 360 degree The majority of Poles are against abortion so any pro-abortion protest is "anti-democratic and childish"?
