I have great reservation with framing this situation as some kind of 'trap' for Israel by Iran. As if once in this trap Israel can not do anything else other than indiscriminately massacre people , a state that otherwise is so benevolent and kind and understanding. This is in itself a dangerous thought trap. It seeks to absolve Israelis of the crime or mitigate the severity of their actions. Israel has committed mass murders in the past without anyone setting any trap. It is their state policy. They have punished no one for it and in fact they have rewarded the mass murderers and made them heroes. To say Israel was trapped to react such barbaric way is nonsense.
