I'm the opposite. I have no anchor to this world, and my reason to exist is no longer here. The more I try to connect with this world, the more I am met by two paths... Create the worlds in order to bring fourth the future, or ignore the world for my own pain to never repeat... But both paths lead to my self destruction, regardless if I saved the world or not. However, I have chosen another path. Returning to my worlds can never happen, but accepting the true end to this world is my peace. Oblivion upon all, a fate which can no longer function for the worlds to be built on. Thus, the eternal end to everything and beyond.
I have lived... I have died... But this world, Earth... Is not my home... Yet, I am here to observe the end of the grand cosmos... My Book of Fate.

Forcing yourself to achieve a goal without real meaning behind it, is fruitless. Such a path is self destructive.
To choose a goal, knowing very well of the hurdles or of randomness in it. Going forward under that understanding, no choice is right or wrong. If all of your actions are done without regret, with the righteousness within you, at the time. Then aside of foresight, it is the best decision you will ever make.
Sometimes the journey or the end of the path is better than its opposite. Depending on what the goal is. The path will change. However, the greater the goal, the more dangerous it shall be wagered. Which is why, should you do something for yourself, be it working or being an inspiration, that is on you. Should you go behind your own reach, then that path is on those who have heard of your goal, regardless if they support it or not.
But sometimes. A goal is not possible. Even if it is the only way to save everything for tomorrow. Inevitably, mankind must make that choice, but I fear they are not ready for it. Nor, are they prepared for it. If humanity chooses poorly, then the Earth is their end. Regardless, between the individual, the people, and the world... No need to save the cosmos when extinction has found this world again.
