@meme4one we didn't say we wouldn't expand NATO further east, the only discussion was about East Germany. We didn't put a pro NATO PM in, Ukraine put a pro EU president in but when Russia annexes your territory it become pro NATO pretty quickly. Missile only went into Poland after Crimea and they were defensive ones. You did get one right though, we have trained countries near Russia and that upsets them because Russia then can't bully them as easily. I'm sorry your so ill informed.

If Ukraine was part of NATO, NATO would be fighting, that is a massive difference.

@meme4one by antagonising Russia you mean not letting Russia run rough shod over all it neighbours? We'd certainly still be doing that. But even Putin isn't stupid enough to invade NATO itself. Not letting Ukraine in was down to its problems with corruption and governance. It's post Soviet past isn't too dissimilar to Russia's, but Russia's gone deeper and Ukraine tried to pull out.
