We aren't superpower, we are no where near the fastest growing economies, didn't finish reading because have fundamentals are so wrong.

@danielbailey5849 Ukraine can't pay it's poor, but then they are fighting the war our kit is for so our security grows not shrinks with very weapon we send.

Lol, Russia has constantly spent more of its GDP on the military than even the US. And the US has spent only a small fraction of it's annual military budget on Ukraine.

Renting is more flexible owning, it may well be worse but it is more flexible.

@rat_king- rifles are legal in the UK. The type of rifle a citizen needs has no relevance to the military.

The West got bored in Afganistan, nothing to do with capability, everything to do with political will.

I've benefited from 30 years of money spent elsewhere and feel in no way threaten.

It's a good point, but to execute it means a smaller military to free up money for change.
