This government has barely been in power and hasn't even had it's defence review.

@1chish thats the thing "the Torries did it" isn't old yet, it less than half a year since Labour got in, and they haven't even had a defence review. As your defending them for 2010, which your right to do in terms of cuts needed (though there were clear mistakes as well) because they hadn't been in government, you have to do the same now.

@1chish your joking? The economy was just in recession at the end of 2023, interest rates are high, cost of living is still a problem from the past inflation. Nothing about thats a thriving economy. Sunak had managed to stablise, but with a large deficit and debt and low predicted growth.

@British-ranmsansame Abe relaxed things so Japan can export arms, though it is still restrictive.

@1chish Which at this point is more of a result of the prior government than this. As we shouldn't praise them when something like type 26 comes in we also need to give them time to sort out what has gone before, most clear on recruitment. I do think totally getting rid of both Albion class was a mistake, but it isn't enough to damn there overall strategy yet.

@adrianrichards247 No, I'm not assuming anything, I'm waiting to see.

@1chish yep, look at those points. It's not tragic it just bad, and other major economies are also doing badly.

@1chish it's doesn't say if the economy is doing good or bad. You do well in an exam by getting an A, not by getting a higher grade than your mate that's failing. If we were talking about how well Sunak managed the economy, you can argue he did well because the situation was bad, but we are just talking about how good the economy was, and it was not thriving.
