@TheBooban it makes any individual loss less. Losing 1 of 3 is worse that 1 of 6.

@TheBooban its rarely work or not, it's work better or worse. The higher the risk to an individual target the more you spread them out. Were the risk too high then you go neither, and use the money for something different, say subs. Though we'd still want something for low intensity conflict or humanitarian work, but thats going to be the cheaper option and less.

Yep, the multi role support ships should look more bay class like, less capable but cheaper. The worry is that though cheaper we don't get more.

@TheBooban what you've seen in Ukraine is occasionally ships be sunk not the wholesale destruction of there fleet. Similarly on land you see successful attacks but not there use with impuntity. But amphibious assaults are risky, in a major conflict, it is more the threat requiring defence resources be spread away from front lines rather than there actual use.

@mrm6783 your right that the bay class isn't the answer either, something new is required, but cheaper and less crew than the albion class.
