@ursulavondercrazy9197 rather than Finnish military (a long with a dozen others with actual access to the jet) being fooled could it be that the F35 is actual a decent jet?

Never occupied except the large part of its history under Sweden and following that by the Russian Empire.

Why do you think a liability, even when countries that aren't spending a lot are adding extra military forces not taking away and everyone pays a share of the NATO budget.

@Hillrunner768 there are certainly some countries like Luxembourg who contribution is next to nothing but the risk there is also next nothing. And that isn't over half of countries.
8
@PavelPavlov-hj3lx That's exactly the type of thing I'm talking about. Adding extra forces for collective defence is still an asset rather than a liability even if they are half as large as they should be. Nor is it about leaning on the US, rather its about generally feeling safe, countries away from Russia didn't feel threatened with or without US support. Countries near Russia have tended to meet the guideline (A guideline that was designed to be moved towards rather than immediately achieved).

Yeah, an allusion the Soviet invasion.

Finland goes down in the nuclear winter and radioactive atmosphere whether its directly nuked or not.

@marcusrasmussen2101 You basically just repeated what I said. I'm very happy Finland is joining. I think there system is great for them, the 280k they'll put out in the event of war is huge for a country there size, it's like the UK mobilising over 3 million troops. I just think how people are using the 900k figure is misleading.
2
@EneriGiilaan Finland was taken by force and held often with a Swedish Nobility over a Finnish peasantry. That seems like an occupation.
2
Its also what led to a lack of European wars during the cold war.

@Who.Knew-The.Salt.MustFlow It's not about Ukraine being under the wests control, it's about it being under Ukrainian control.

@Who.Knew-The.Salt.MustFlow Yes

@janko6608 By other countries standard the 250K extra you call up in war and that get refresher training are your reserve. While its worth acknowledging all adult men have been through training it's not the same.
1
@kk-gr3ly The 900k figure is just everyone under 50 (and older is some cases) that's served and not just those that are actively maintaining there skills. Those wouldn't be considered reserves in other countries.

You get peace by NATO not attacking Russia and being to strong for Russia to attack.

@emmanuelknight8974 1808 to 1917?

@CommonWealthSnow probably, which is nothing like never.

@EneriGiilaan I'd certainly say that Norrland was occupied, that it has become integrated after does take away from that, though as far as I am aware there has been discrimination against Sami past the middle ages that would make some parts look more like occupation (though I admit my knowledge there is very limited). I accept modern day occupation isn't the same as middle age occupation but I don't think that doesn't mean you can't use the word. I'd certainly say Wales was occupied by England and I see similarities there.

@ivarwb4115 I learn a lot through debate with someone like Eneri, if you want to make me learn tell me some history.
