  2. The problem in Barcelona is Air BnB effectively removing affordable rented accomodation from the market. This has decimated local communities and forced working class Spanish people out of the city. Obviously the multiple occupancy sh*t holes remain and so obviously they get crammed with migrants, asylum seekers and illegal immigrants, but young Spanish people see them as a symptom of the problem not the cause. The same thing is happening all over Western Europe.

And don't forget, many of the courses have been deliberately designed by 'acredited educational entities' to attract foriegn students (and their fees) by promising visas while not requiring any significant amount of study or attendance. Also, many foriegn students do not even attempt to complete their courses, dropping out but remaining indefinitely in the country.
