  1. The problem in Barcelona is Air BnB effectively removing affordable rented accomodation from the market. This has decimated local communities and forced working class Spanish people out of the city. Obviously the multiple occupancy sh*t holes remain and so obviously they get crammed with migrants, asylum seekers and illegal immigrants, but young Spanish people see them as a symptom of the problem not the cause. The same thing is happening all over Western Europe.
