It is strange to think that a sports presenter can get cancelled for reflecting upon how the language used in a particular debate can be used deliberately to dehumanise a particular group of people in society. Then provide an accurate historical example. Surely he should be congratulated for not using 'obviously' as the first word in every sentence, or finishing every sentence with 'know what I mean' rather than being criticised? Next thing you know, they'll be shelving shows by a treasured naturalist just in case it might also upset someone in the conservative establishment! By the way, didn't Jimmy Saville openly use his position of influence at the BBC to support Margaret Thatcher and the Conservatives for many years? And we all know how that turned out....
