@yossibenayoun134 the point being made is Iain has supprted the Tory agenda for years and for him to now affect a sympathetic tone to someone who is experiencing real poverty as a consequence of those Tory policies seems a bit ironic. This is where the Tory economic philosophy leads. Wealth is filtereed away from tax payers and into the pockets of privately owned corporations, their share holders share and senior executives. Then it is placed in tax havens so it serves no useful purpose for our economy. Services are cut back and communities are squeezed. Wages are kept low even when profits are high. Healthcare, education, policing, transport all suffers. Benefits are low too, but when taking employment involves zero hour contracts, little job security and very poor wages plus workers still need food banks and in work benefits, working seems to make people just as economically vunerable as being unemployed. People vote for whatever they like and for whatever reason but they have to acknowledge when the consequences of those voting choices have an inevitable and negative affect? Iain Dale could acknowledge that.
