You can't 'rebuild trust in our communities' when one particular community uses the implied threat of violence and of insurrection to visibly disregard the law, while another has it's most significant representative continually harassed and bullied by the law. Even the suspicion that there is 'Two Teir Policing' at work is enough to destabilise community relations, and let's face it, recent events in Leeds and Rochdale would suggest that it is more than a suspicion.

@ProfessorTimWilson Whether TR is a nice chap or not is rather beside the point. If it were just a question of the media misrepresenting him and his message that would be reletively unremarkable. What is most disturbing is the way that the authorities seem to be determinef to use the law (clumsily and without much self regard) to limit his voice, his movements and his actions. It is made even worse by the fact that TR seems to want to defend what he believes are traditional British values; those of 'cultural Christianity', of societal plurality, of policing without fear or favour, of equality before the law, of freedom of speech etc, while those he is against (who certainly do not share those cultural values) seem to be disproportionally receiving the state's protection.
