@Daskippa2024 So you actually think that driving makes you free? I'm from the Netherlands and I don't even own a car because I don't need one. My countries infrastructure and public transport is the thing that make me really free because I have a choice in what I use. I mostly use my electric bicycle but I can easily use public transport to go everywhere in my country and even in Europe. The difference between the US and my country is that you people hardly have another choice then using a car because your infrastructure and cities are made for cars. My country, the Netherlands, and it's cities are build for people not cars. We had a car centric infrastructure in the 60's/70's but it was bad and caused to many traffic deaths like they have now in the US. So we decided to change it to make it safer and more efficient.

Projecting is a real republican trait.

Why do EV's suck? Can you elaborate?
2
@Daskippa2024 Bullshit! The average distance people ride per day in the US is 37 miles. You can easily do that with an electric car. I do that with my electric bicycle everyday in my country.

@MrGgabber Define "Cognitive dissonance" for me, if you even can!
2
@MrGgabber You have no idea what "cognitive dissonance" means, do you? Why do you people use words that you don't even know the meaning of? This is typical republican behavior!

@simplythebestatpicks7390 How do YOU know it's a fact???
1
@simplythebestatpicks7390 Because you claimed to have a fact in your first comment! Are you saying now that you just made it all up?
1
@edwardrosser938 Are you stupid on purpose or are you born that way?
1
Don't bother, Sergeant_salty is a troll and he spreads misinformation!

Are you being on stupid on purpose or are you born that way?

@bIgMiKeObAmNa Maybe in the US but other countries have far superior power grid than the US. The problem in the US is they they never put money in maintaining the power grid, it is severally outdated just like the US infrastructure. Don't blame the EV's blame your governments for not maintaining or updating the US power grid.
1
@bIgMiKeObAmNa You do realize that they now recycle the lithium? also the research in new batteries is constantly going on and on. Batteries are getting better year after year. The cold weather is a bullshit myth, in Scandinavian countries they use EV's a lot and do you know how cold it gets there???
1
@bIgMiKeObAmNa Yes it is. It has an influence on the battery but it's marginal.
1
@bIgMiKeObAmNa Wrong! It is an ecosystem of asset owners, manufacturers, service providers, and government officials at Federal, state, and local levels, all working together to run one of the most reliable electrical grids in the world. - US government website.
1
@bIgMiKeObAmNa Yes you can charge an EV during a power outage. You ever heard of solar energy? In my country almost every company has solar panels to charge their EV's.
1
@bIgMiKeObAmNa Why is the US so far behind the rest of the developed countries????
1
@bIgMiKeObAmNa But you make it sound that like half of the battery would not work in the cold. The cold has about less then 3% impact on the battery. This is marginal.
1
@bIgMiKeObAmNa You have to have -58 F to have a real impact on a battery.
1
@bIgMiKeObAmNa An EV directly converts electricity into movement. This makes it far more efficient than a conventional car, which has to burn fuel (creating heat) and then convert that heat into motion. Did you know that an EV can be more than 70% efficient from the moment you turn it on? Even the best diesel engine, fully warmed up, struggles to get to 40% efficiency. In other words, a conventional car wastes well over half the energy in its fuel. Unlike a conventional car – when an EV brakes, much of its energy is recovered and put back into the battery, so it's available to help it accelerate again. In a regular car the energy is simply converted into heat by the brakes and wasted. Overall, an EV might be two to three times more efficient than an equivalent conventional car when braking.
1
@bIgMiKeObAmNa Sorry, I was wrong with the -58F. Looked at the wrong batteries. It's actually At approximately -22 degrees F (-30 C), battery Ah capacity drops to 50%. It's from Institute of Physics.
1
@bIgMiKeObAmNa Yes EV's cost me but in the end it's cheaper in use. And in most developed countries you get benefits from the government for using a EV. Why the US isn't doing that is beyond me!
1
@bIgMiKeObAmNa I understand, fair enough! But it doesn't mean EV's really suck because most people drive short distances.
1
@bIgMiKeObAmNa Because there is nowhere to charge them is because the US is so far behind other developed countries. I live in an apartment in the Netherlands and we have plenty enough charging points. Don't blame EV when it is your government that sucks in providing points to charge them. Even parking lots at companies have charging stations that work on solar energy. Almost every city in the Netherlands has plenty of charging points for EV's. The problem is that the US is like 20 years behind the rest of the developed countries.

And republicans know how to take rights away from women!
1
How you people come up with this nonsense is beyond me!
1
@stephenflood5374 Ok, then you can of course give me a source for these claims. You can do that right?
1
@stephenflood5374 Give me a couple, if you can!
1
@stephenflood5374 I know he's Jewish, so what's the point?
1
@stephenflood5374 You still haven't given me one source that says that Biden's administration funds to iran that helped hamas attack Israel.
1
@stephenflood5374 Thought so! This is so typical of republicans. Claiming something but not having anything to back up these claims.

@stephenflood5374 If you put in a link then it will not show, youtube blocks links and some comments, I don't know why! At my end it show that there are 14 replies but only shows 10 replies that I can read.
1
@stephenflood5374 I can't see the link, youtube is blocking it.

@stephenflood5374 Although users can indeed post links within YouTube comments, the majority of comments will be held for approval. This is true both on regular YouTube videos, as well as for comments left on YouTube Shorts. This means that the comments aren’t actually public after you post them. Although YouTube will display the comment to you as if it were posted for everyone to see, this isn’t actually the case. Instead, the comment will go to a special inbox called ‘Held for Review’ within the video creator’s YouTube studio. Comments placed in the ‘Held for Review’ section must be manually reviewed and approved by the video creator. - YouTube
