A college degree just shows that the holder of the degree has the ability to learn or be taught. there for is more employable or hirable then someone who does not hold a degree. the subject doesn't matter; and every employer operates different. I always looked or measured "success" as what one is capable to do for others. To "Push" might be "indoctrination" I do not know. But I do understand that a Universal AKA degree from university can open the door in any trade or specialty. Loans for Trade schools or specialized training have become predatory lending facilities for the children some where between high school Jr. collage. Union Apprenticeship are best and should be sponsored by unions not subjecting people to supposed trade school predatory lending that promises job placement. HA! what a scam owing the store at the mine camp before you ever even have entered the mine. Most trades can not be taught in a class room. Just the language of the discipline can be taught in a class room. Nothing beats experience. Go Joe!
