Slaves were not allowed read and learn; have access to things and stuff. Make them good little subjects. No university ( which means being universal in course work) No enlightenment which means WOKE. But on the other hand slavery is better for them subjects than minimum wage. When ya own them; Ya got to cloth, shelter, feed, and provide them with medical. when ya pay them minimum wage it's 8hr and off ya go.
