We chase phantoms half the days of our lives. It would be well if we learn wisdom even than, and save the other half. A man never reaches that dizzy height of wisdom that he can no longer be led by the nose.

You can never prove anything to a lunatic - - for that is part of his insanity, for my mind has same defect that affects his. All democrats are insane, but not one of them knows it; none but the republicans and mugwumps know it. All the Republicans are insane, but thee democrats and the mugwumps perceive it. The rule is perfect.
