Before the current state of Israel, there was the British Empire. Before the British Empire, there was the Ottoman Empire. Before the Ottoman Empire, there were the Egyptians. And so on! Many peoples governed that territory over the centuries, NEVER the Palestinians. There was even the Kingdom of Israel formed in the 9th century BCE!!!
