@MusicfromMarrs I'm admittedly skeptical of Ben's skill in music. Now I'm not saying I'm an expert, I quit playing after highschool, but Ben strikes me as a hobbyist who Also largely quit his education in music early. Like Obviously he has talent.... When reading sheet music. However he also seems to think "being capable of reading sheet music" is a sign of great intelligence or skill despite it being "The first fucking thing literally any musician learns how to do in their very first lessons and akin to a toddler learning their ABC's", and seems wildly deluded on what does/does not count as musical skill. ...Methinks he learned just enough to Sound competent and just went on to use it as a brag. Like those pretentious pricks in college who learn a few guitar chords and songs to pick up dates.

@MusicfromMarrs You're definitely more versed in the subject than I am it sounds like. Again, I kind of stopped after highschool. Played since I was small, but y'know how public school is about teaching terminology. And you're right, I totally don't know under what method of learning Ben was brought up. However, considering I've never seen him display his talent in a way any highschooler with a musical background couldn't replicate in a day (with their choice of instrument of course), I'm really struggling to imagine in what way his education in music was any way superior to "literally any chucklefuck paying some attention in highschool band." Which hey, nothing wrong with reading sheet music and exclusively playing popular and (relatively) easy pieces of music, it's still a damn sight more talent than most have in music. ...But I'm just saying, I could do the exact same thing with any form of saxophone and it would be an insult to musicians to even suggest I'm an authority on music. Yet here's "Billy Bignuts" Ben.

@MusicfromMarrs Hehe, definitely no issue with that. My personal tastes are more in the metal genre, and classical study is actually a big deal for a lot of those musicians. Like a lot of the vocal exercises needed for those really rough tones and shrieks are the same ones used by opera singers, just less focused on tone as much as "amplitude". It's a commonly held belief among the fans that Beethoven would've been the first metalhead if his time had the appropriate instruments. Either way, music is meant to be shared and celebrated, Lizzo seems to get that, Ben doesn't.

@Badtown1988 Lol, imagine Ben thinking one of the most famous bands on Earth who wrote shitloads of songs "can't read music." Like it's not even that hard. They taught us to read sheet music in 5th fucking grade. Earlier if you were one of those goblins who had one of those unholy "recorder" things.
