@TDC5 "If she wanted to" You're making a lot of assumptions about the mental capacity of a senile old person. Senility is functional divorcing from reality. If she Wasn't a politician she'd legally be unable to provide consent for herself about anything on the grounds of "lack of mental capacity to do so" and be in some old folks home being cared for by doctors and hospice caregivers until her body finally caught up with her mind and Dies. You can't rely on someone who struggles to remember who they are, where they are, what's going on in the present, what the names or positions of anyone she works with are, or their own history to make any sort of rational decision regarding OPERATING A STOVE, nevermind something as chaotic and high-stakes for a nation as Federal Politics. She's already at the point where her staffers and Nancy Pelosi are doing all her actual thinking for her, what the hell makes you think she understands enough about what's going on to even make the choice to step down?

@wildfotoz Plus there's just a basic blunt reality here, which I'll clarify with a simple question: Why the hell is the future being controlled and presided over predominantly by a bunch of people so fucking old they'll never see it? Call me crazy, but I'd like my politicians to at least have SOME investment in what the future will be AND a basic working knowledge of the Present! Like if the modern modes of communication and the technology of the age in which you govern are confusing and strange to you, get the fuck out of the commander's seat and put someone there who doesn't need help just to use Microsoft Word. The fuck do these people care? They'll be dead in the next 5-10 either way. They got no skin in the game anymore. If they ever had any in the game to begin with.
