Why? I'd love to know how Biden Isn't weak. What's he done/passed for us in these last 2 years that makes him Not a lame ass President?

@electrified0 I feel like Trump's a bit of a bad example there. I mean let's be real, the election was between two senile old shitbags absolutely no one wanted. Or rather "Absolutely no one wanted Biden" they jus hated Trump enough to stomach Biden. Trump, meanwhile, has his cult of folks who actually Did support him to offset the imbalance Like a lot of really deranged people support Trump, no one really supports Biden outside of "Is not Trump" as a selling point. There's no way that clusterfuck of an election wasn't screwing with the expected results. Like I doubt the results would have been the same had the Dems been running a candidate Someone was excited for, y'know?

@americanbookdragon Lol, kind of hard to cause a massive national stink when your population is mostly hostile winds.

@donnaharewood9982 Also, just pointing out, the only reason slavery even Was popular at one point was simple economics. When the majority is the one calling the shots, things tend to gravitate to the path of least effort. Slavery was popular because at one point in time slave labor was profitable and more efficient. Particularly down South. However, pretty much the moment you invent an assembly line you effectively rendered slavery inferior. Excluding morality and ethics for a second, what majority NOW would go back to slaves when a mindless machine is tireless, endlessly loyal, performs 24/7, and unlike a human has no rights to speak of? Machines are all the fun of slavery without the guilt or concerns about their mental state. When allowed to choose he majority historically doesn't regress to primitive practices unless circumstances force the situation. Why do you think these religious assholes keep trying to force their anti-abortion agenda in ways that Don't allow voters a choice?

Then give them all the direct ballot vote by State. Why are the States who screamed "States Rights" the loudest also the States that forced this ban through without their citizens getting a vote? Oh right, because "States Rights" was just a pretense, these animals wanted theocracy within their State and to force everyone to live by their creed without the Fed being allowed to stop them. Nothing more.

Biden is weak, and he hasn't gotten shit accomplished. Trump's presidency was horrible, but he only "didn't get things accomplished" if your metric is "Shit Progressives want" and nothing else. Because if you're a MAGA cultist or a corporate entity or a corrupt politician (Democrat OR Republican), then Trump got quite a bit done in your favor. If you're the kind of person who would support Trump electorally, he did pretty well for you. WTF has Biden done for me as a Progressive in the last 2 years that even beats Trump in terms of benefit? Like all I can think of that Trump even did that I liked was sending those checks and even on that ONE thing, he still gave us more money than Biden did.

@AmandaFromWisconsin Why? Nothing they said was wrong. Should Shadow NOT point out that the only reason we're here at all is because Dems Haven't been fighting the way they promised they would? Why shouldn't people be cautious?

@wilfred-wils Can you defend a position without having to wantonly misrepresent your opponents? If your position has merit, then it should be able to stand on its own merits, not require the demonizing of your opposition in order to gain ground. So go ahead: Why is it murder? By what metric are you classifying the termination of a zygote as equivalent to murder?
1
@wilfred-wils " By what metric are you classifying the termination of a zygote as equivalent to murder?"- Me "killing a human is called murder"- You. How did what you said address my question? In what way is a zygote equivalent to a human to be classified as murder? "It is because it is" isn't a response.
1
@wilfred-wils "What species is the zygote if not human? Why are you focusing on the zygote stage when the majority of abortions are done after this stage of development?" This logic only adds up if you also assign humanity to cancerous tumors. If "Human" to you is purely the DNA in play, then you surely also feel horrified every time we use chemo to murder an innocent human tumor, no? Do you decry the mass-scale genocides that take place every time a human jerks off too? Or is there something Else we use to determine humanity besides base biology? "My answer definitely addressed your question, you just didn’t like the answer because your paragraphs of waffle were destroyed in 6 words" No, I was expecting an actual explanation, not a childish re-assertion of your thesis with no further elaboration. Your position only has merit IF you maintain consistency and assign humanity to every single Thing that shares DNA with us. In which case you must also view chemotherapy as murder and whacking off as mass-slaughter. Getting a bit snotty there ain't ya? Silly me I thought we were just having a discussion, but if you want to be an antagonistic little dipshit we can do that as well.

"Abortions are expensive as shit, who tf is using them as Birth Control?!" Like that's just bullshit on the face of it, unless you're counting contraceptives in and of themselves as part of "abortions", No One who isn't Rich as Midas is using abortions to take the place of the morning-after pill.

@winged500 If that's the case then you're dealing with a troglodyte that taught itself to speak. It's like those old PSA's claiming drug-pushers were sneaking dugs into kids Halloween candy to "corrupt them": Drugs are expensive and no substance abuser is wasting their precious supply on kids when kids can't afford to buy drugs. Is that kid ever gonna pay them back? They ever gonna get a job and pitch in for the drug costs? Ever gonna have any good recommendations for quality and potency? No! Kids wouldn't know good drugs from bad if their lives depended on it, they don't get drugs until they're old enough to Appreciate the drugs they've got. Like... Jesus, this woman's basically saying "I don't know what abortions are" without saying it outright.

"Again. The person who sucks at American politics and is not an American nor live in the states is giving Dems advice on what to run on." Why not? Doesn't seem like America can govern itself for shit, what makes you guys experts? "Like one size fits every state & district. Everything is black or white with these people." How vague and void of details. "What about those districts that are pro life? Like African American districts. " What about them? If they lost a vote they lost a vote. "And it’s amazing how short of a memory people have these days. Dems have a lot to run on." Like what? "Infrastructure." ...What SPECIFICALLY?! "Gun reform even though it didn’t go as far as we would’ve liked it to be." What ABOUT gun reform? Why aren't you being specific? How far is "liked it to be?" DETAILS GOD DAMMIT! "hey could even run on what came out of the J6 hearings. " ...So yammer on about Trump some more. Oh yeah, because that's not exhausted to shit yet since 2016. Great plan, I can see why you were so offended by outside input. /s "My point is that it’s easy to say Dems should run on an issue solely based on one ballot vote. It’s like having a friend win the lottery then tells you that anyone can win it based off his/her win." ....Public opinion isn't random chance. The majorityof the nations was already pro- Roe, dipshit. This just further verified this fact. "They’re doing the same with the PACT legislation. Oh, Dems should be taking notes from Stewart." Yes. They should. People actually like Stewart's positions. " How many people will remember what he did 2 months from now." Literally anyone who pays more attention than a stoned gerbil. Although apparently that's you by your own admission here. "And wouldn’t it be smart to let those affected by it not passing be on the front lines." They already are idiot. But nice to know you have no actual solidarity with your own countrymen unless it directly impacts you. "Politician’s out front on issues like this are the reason why people hate them." No, it's why YOU hate them. Because they're standing for something you disagree with. No one else cares, we actually want politicians that stand for Something. All you advocate for here is yet more Partisan Football and social BS over policy. And we're done listening to folks like you.

@Macachee There's something to be said about the difference between a trusted enemy and a traitor. Like I'm on the Left, but I don't expect anything from Republicans but to be my enemy. I don't get angry when they oppose me, for they wouldn't be Republicans if we were not in opposition. However you know what a Republican's never done to me? Tell me they're actually Progressives on my side, convince me to vote for them, only to immediately keep siding with my enemies the moment it's time for them to "Vote for the things they promised me." The knife in your chest from the enemy doesn't sink as deep as the knife in your back from an ally.

If you actually believed that then these would be mandatory direct ballot shit on the State level. How interesting that the States that opposed Roe the hardest in the name of "States Rights" are all the ones that banned abortion the instant it was overturned without the people getting a vote at all. "States Rights" was never about the freedom of States from the Fed to these people. It was about them wanting the freedom to turn their State into a theocracy against the will of the voters without the Fed being legally able to stop them. Every State that banned abortion without a civilian vote was lying through their teeth about "States Rights".
