@jonsouth1545 Well yes, the power of a particular gun is whatever it was built to do. I was giving a physics answer, based on the meaning of "power". Power = work/time, work = force x distance and force = mass x acceleration. So it's mass, moved some distance in some time.

Open question: 8:05 Why are the anchor chains brought up on the weather-deck? (I'm not a sailor - I may use the terms wrong. I'm happy to be corrected.) I know the chain lockers are dangerous (low oxygen). I know the chains go through the gunnels to keep water out of the chain lockers (but it gets in anyway). It just seems to waste deck space and add a hazard to people.
