Burning hydrocarbons produces CO2 and H2O - neither of which are pollutants, both are highly desired by plants.

10.5 MW.hrs in 50,000 hrs = 210 W average, or 20% of capacity. There's the inherent problem of solar power - you need 5 times as many panels as the energy you'd hope to get from them suggests - and a means of storage for 80% of that energy. That makes the idea prohibitively expensive.

Annual temperatures reported by various agencies are not FACTS, they are statistical opinions - and the proof is that they all differ. No-one knows the temperature of the world - it's impossible to measure. No-one even tries to guess: if you average quantities that vary in both place and time the result is meaningless. For example, average a day's max temp of London and Tokyo - what does it mean? It's not the max temp of any place or time! To have a chance of estimating the world's temperature, you'd have to measure it in millions of places _at the same time_.

I spent 10 years showing theists that their religion is a crock - in vain. Then I spent 10 years showing CAGW alarmists that their religion is a crock. The arguments are exactly the same. If you bleat like a sheep, don't blame me when you get fleeced.

What is the peak power output? It seems to be about 850W, which is only 72% of nameplate (1175W, 5x235W).

@ Ricky. Do you understand that your grid electricity is priced to coerce you to either a) buy solar panels, if you're wealthy, or b) use less power, if you're poor? Do you understand that the poor are subsidising your panels? Do you understand that the more solar panels are installed, the more expensive electricity will become and the less electricity the poor will be able to buy? Is that the kind of world you want?

@ Eric. Yes lightning is attracted to lead - that's why churches get stuck so often. For "blocking frequencies", metal is metal - a lead hat sounds like a pain the neck.

@ Augusto, what was the question?

Just shows you can any nonsense published - if it fits the politics.

@ johndaddyo Very well said, sir.

@johndaddyo Yes, I remember the global cooling scare, that the kids today tell me didn't happen. Certainly I have a lot more faith in satellite measurements than plainly fraudulent ground-station series.

They're subsidy farms, not solar farms. UK Solar produces about 9% of nameplate.
