  45. It's a difficult thing to do - shoot down a balloon; they fly very high and very slow. IR missile won't see it - balloons are not hot. Radar missile won't see it - only sees solid/metal things. Lazer-guided missile? I don't know. Ordinary bullets - short range, and don't kill hydrogen balloons. Explosive bullets/tracer rounds - short range, do kill Hydrogen, not Helium. Difficult to get a plane to fly at 60,000 ft - no lift, has to fly fast. Hard to hit a slow moving target when you're flying 600 mph.

  48.  @mikekouvatasjr5417  If you captured them, they'd prolly put in a self-destruct or anti-tamper system. A laser might be a good weapon against a balloon and a laser-armed balloon would be a good vehicle to intercept an enemy balloon.
