  5. @ DOBRO We have a few palm trees in Britain. They don't make fruit here. If we have a bad winter, they die.

  6. St. Petersburg has warmer summers than GB, but its average is only 6C. GB has an average 9C. Cornwall has an average 10C - that's where the palm trees grow. We have mild summers and mild winters, because of the Atlantic ocean. Oceans are slow to warm up, and slow to cool down. St. Petersburg has warmer summers and colder winters.

Russia mostly fights its neighbours; Finland,Turkey, Ukraine, Japan,... Britain and Russia are not natural enemies - we have very little to fight about - we are too far apart, and we have different ways. Britain is a small island: we don't have lots of natural resources - we are a trading nation. Trade is everything to us. We have to trade by sea - you can't walk to Britain. Russia is a huge piece of land, full of natural resources. Whatever you need, you make. You don't have to trade much, and if you want to trade, you have to walk a long way. Trade is not easy for you.
