  2.  @TonyFisherPuzzles  I think you mean "it's no one's business what they do over their private land in their private airspace." Over public land it's the public's business. They no more have exclusive rights to "miles from anywhere" than they do to "far, far away".

  4.  @KindredAutomotive  Hasty decisions tend to be bad, so if you want someone to make a bad decision, put time-pressure on them.  If I was the FAA, and given time to consider the request,I'd've been angered at what they were proposing - to the point of suspending their licenses!
