  1. He means the land seen in the video is matched to the land as shown on a map. I remember when some terrorist army published video of thier training camp, analysts used buildings seen in the background to locate the position of the camp - which was then attacked.

  4. Nato doesn't have ships, nations do. If the drone came from (say) a UK ship, it would be an act of war by the UK against Russia, and the UK would lose Nato protection.

  5. A video might have gps coordinates, but those are not to be trusted. The original poster might say something like "this was taken 3 km north of Robotyne", and then people check with a map.

  6.  @CubiCNooBiC  Estonia can't use Nato as protection for acts of aggression; it's a defence treaty. Yes, it's trivially easy to fly a drone across a national border. As you correctly say, I wouldn't do it - I don't want to get arrested. Estonian agents wouldn't have any such concerns.
