  5.  @CapitaineNautilus  Yes, I estimate 120ft giving a distance to horizon of 13 miles/ 20km. 30 mile range would be useful for land bombardments - it's easy to see 30 miles on land.

  6. The mistake you've made is in thinking the world is smooth; it's not - it has mountains and valleys. The limiting factor is not the height of the tank, it's the height of the land it's sitting on.
