@edthebumblingfool He says when he's giving his own opinion, right or wrong, and he's perfectly entitled to do so - it's his channel. Some of us value his opinions - right or wrong.

But he should.

Bakmut has a huge underground chamber which is perfect for a military base. You can get trucks/tanks stores and hundreds, if not thousands, of men down there.
12
@uchennaabosi7651 it'd be on the order of 1 man per 2km of frontlines per day - not out of the question.
6
Pots and kettles come to mind.
5
It may only be temporary, or a deception.
4
@bigjoe7537 Inflated numbers are inevitable and unavoidable. In WWII battle of Britain, RAF pilot claims were roughly double German losses - and vice versa. That was because, when you shoot an enemy plane, you can't follow it, or watch it go down, or you'll end up being shot down, yourself. You just have to shoot and move on.

A lovely bit of thinking there. A neat demonstration of how a heap of theory can be flattened by a single obstinate fact. "The missile is too small."
2
I suppose he's "making hay while the Sun shines" - the war could end at any time.
2
@kevinallies1014 Without the underneath [1], they still have 2 sides and a top. The sides have open spaces, the top doesn't. [1] the Crimean bridge was damaged from beneath.
2
Looks like an air-to-air missile, to me.
1
If you divide by the number of days fighting (112+?), and then by the length of the frontline (50 km +?), it's not so many.
1
@thescythian321 I think you're an order of magnitude high - 1.3, not 13.
1
@thescythian321 Yeah, we're in the ballpark. I'm surprised it's not more. I suspect anti-surrender activity by Ukr field commanders.
1
Missionaries? Mercenaries.

I think you're right. As @antyspi4466 said, the missile shown is too small to go that far, much less make a big explosion when it got there.
1
@psier11 I heard "all lies lead to murder."
1
It's "it's", not "its". If you can't manage in your own language, why do you demand foreigners do so?
1
Temporary loss of air defence, not 10K men.
1
@Dude0000 Air defences get destroyed, so they move the remaining ones around. They'll put the air defence next to the things the value - Odessa, Kiev, fighter planes - not frontline conscrpts. Also, they want to shoot down Russian aircraft, but can't because they're staying away. If Russia thinks it's safe to fly over the lines, maybe they will, and Ukr can get a shot at them. Cool Aid? Sun Tze "appear weak where you are strong.
1
@Dude0000 I can think of two good example of "leaving themselves completely open on purpose". 1). WWII, Paris declared itself an open city, so it wouldn't be destroyed. 2. WWII Pearl Harbour
1
@Dude0000 Then there's the 22 countries who declare themselves to be neutral (in various forms).
1
149.2 MHz - if that's what you were asking.
1
Radars point forward, missiles point up, and bridge columns are narrow/ hard to hit.
1
@noelbartley1084 It doesn't matter. What Krasslofw said remains true.
1
Land is paid for in blood. Don't take what you aren't willing to pay for.
1
It warns the crew that they've been seen, and a shell is heading their way.

and Turkey, and South Africa, and Antarctica.
1
@Manetho72 He obviously means "risk". Bridges are 3-D objects that present more of a target from above, than from the side. Go look at pictures of bridges - they almost always pictured from the side.

If a missile is shot down, don't fly planes there.
