If they invade and share W Ukraine, they not only get land, etc, but they placate Russia and win peace. Russia gets its buffer zone. What's in the tent, a tank, or a tree trunk? If the Ukr gets wise and refuses to attack tents, you've got a safe place for tanks/ artillery.
