@stevebuckley7788 That implies the target is detected before the drone is dispatched - ie, targets are found by satellite. That's very easy to exploit - and cheaply, too.

A "hunter drone" is more expensive than a drone [1]- and more dangerous to the operators [2]. [1] it needs computational ability, to do automated search, target ID, kill decision. [2] It detonates, or shoots, when it chooses to - rightly or wrongly.

Drones are small, and not solid, and fly low, so they're hard to detect by radar. Anti-aircraft batteries are few, and hunted by US satellites.
