@ZappyOh Terrorism works best against civilians. The Russian army is must less susceptible to it - they also inspire fear.

@tolis7411 I think he's being sarcastic.
2
@cccpredarmy I think the name was more like "Uday".

@thomaslacornette1282 Air-burst shells - pom-pom/flak guns were used against aircraft. They explode in the air sending out ball-bearings and shrapnel. (s/ flak/ ak-ak <-that's from Star Wars)

@TheCrapOnYourStrapOn An electric arc generates noise at all radio frequencies - it would jam everything.

The obvious answer to a HEAT round is a heat shield - a ceramic tile, like space vehicles have.

@cccpredarmy Yes, the meaning of "drone" is so broad, it's virtually useless.

@TheCrapOnYourStrapOn Yes, it would jam their drones, your drones, radios, phones, everything. It takes a very high voltage to draw an arc, but not so much current. The current would determine the effective range (and also the life of the electrodes).

@TheCrapOnYourStrapOn And home arc welder might be 3 V, 60 Amp at the electrodes (the arc is short). Lightning might be 1 million V, 30,000 Amps. (Power = Volts x Amps) (Answers; 180 W, 30 GW)

@TheCrapOnYourStrapOn Sorry, I have to go out for a while. Should be home by 5 (it's 1:30 now).

@TheCrapOnYourStrapOn I'm enjoying the conversation too. I'm an ex radio engineer - imagine how often I get to talk about it. The conversation usually goes ... "Where do you work?" "At the radio station." "Ooooh, are you a DJ?" "No". "Oh."

@ukrainted_states_of_amerael I think fixed nets could be useful around strongholds; they are cheap and easy to use, can be hard to see, and once the operators have learned about them, they will fly more slowly, making the drones easier to shoot.

@TheCrapOnYourStrapOn RE: Lidar. First thing to note is that cars have reflective number plates, they mostly stay on the ground, and on the roads - all of which makes them much easier to find than (say) a Heinkel on a night-bombing raid over London.
1
@TheCrapOnYourStrapOn Sorry about the delay, that took some thinking about.
