  1. I disagree with your claim that Allied bombing of German cities was a war crime. As I see it, crime is defined by law, law is limited by jurisdiction and that is limited by sovereignty. Law is limited to nations.  The Geneva Convention is an agreement between nations - a contract. If two signatories wage war against each other, the agreement holds only so long as both sides observe it. Once it is breached, it is null and void. If Germany did not sign the Convention, they cannot break it, and they cannot seek the protection of it, either.
