  1. I completely disagree. If you want music, play your own music. I can't concentrate on what's being said when there's distracting background music.

  2. @Allan Brawer I've complained on previous TIK videos about overly distracting music, yes. Yes, there are documentaries where the music is so loud it drowns out the narrator - especially war documentaries. It's a plague of modern documentaries. I'll try to find an example. The reason music is added, is to make it more exciting - I don't want to be excited, I want to learn. I find war exciting enough.

If I'm playing a video game (eg Anno 1404) that has background music, I turn it off - it (slows the game down, and) gets repetitive after a short while.

  7. @Allan Brawer Dude, surely you understand I wasn't suggesting you edit music in. I don't know about you, but I'm using a browser - I can open multiple tabs - I can play a music video in one tab, a speech video in another tab, and hear them both. The only thing I need do is set the volume levels so the music doesn't intrude on the speech.

  8. We're talking about TIK here, not Hollywood. He just has music playing in the background - it's not timed to match the script. Sound effects? What sound effects?
