  1. I don't think you're right on this one,TIK. The very big reason why Finland wouldn't seek territorial gains is that it would give a ready excuse for yet another war. A second advantage of helping the Germans get into Russia is getting them out of Finland. The two combine to form an exit strategy. For analogy, Britain also invaded many countries it had no intention of keeping; Iceland, Norway, France, Italy, Germany, ...
