POLLUTION!!! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEe

@Wenke Li "It's not the temperature, it's the rate!" That's a lie. It usually has the xkcd graph to support it. That graph is fraudulent - it compares long-term averages (which are very smooth) to short-term averages. I see you chose appeal to fear for agriculture. US crop yeilds have increased from 6 bushels/acre in the 1930s to 90 bushels/acre nowadays. That increase has been replicated around the world. You are relying on the ignorance of others to facilitate your lies. You are a liar - and for an evil cause, too.

Drilling tunnels is expensive.
1
@Ecard Ecardian You'd need a flow of 1,000,000 litres per second with a fall of 1 metre.
1
Yes, the original wasn't hard to understand.
1
If you take away the CO2 - the planet's food supply - the plants ALL die. Then ALL the animals die. ALL of them.
1
@Sparkiebc You can't die of climate, much less of climate change. Climate is a statistic - the long term (ie 30+ years) average of weather. Climate change is a tiny variation in a statistic.

The black market value of the battery alone ... very lucrative.
1
It's only about covering up (and stealing credit for) the fact that the Sahel has been greening for 30-40 years. (It was the evil CO2 what done it.)
1
Read the Bar Associations description of fair use again, and try to see if it makes any such distinction.
1
It's the only thing they did put a lot of work into.
1
Yes, but the camera is expensive and the thermometer is cheap.
1
TF, you'd prolly do better on the Patreon funding if you were less abusive to your audience. I gave up watching after the first 5 mins of crap. You're not half as entertaining as you think you are.

@stauffap What don't you quite get?

Nah, the use changed, so the treatment must change, to match.
1
@sirrathersplendid4825 Storms might not, but icebergs do.
1
I don't think that's way off.
1
@hyfy-tr2jy Limited water? There're oceans-full of the stuff.
1
@hyfy-tr2jy I'd say places that have no water - fresh or salt - have no people, and no need for grid storage.
1
I believe most of his dives were in the shallow waters of the West Indies.

It's really ironic that Wikipedia is being touted as a reliable source.
1
@GuildAce909 So you've got a fallacious generalisation - what's true of many is not true of all, and an abuse of the word "source"; Wikipedia uses newspapers as "sources" while newspapers use WikiP as their "source"; WikiP claims it, NPs copy it, and WikiP then cites them as "sources".
1
I'd like to see the cost comparison between these batteries and potato batteries. How many potatoes would I need to charge a mobile phone?
1
No, the air is in there - and it's got no-where to go.
1
YT changed their terms & conditions. Thunderfoot can get penalized for such comments now.
1
Yes indeed. Doesn't mean you can't do it, just means you can't be open about it.
1
@Grauenwolf Everything you said was wrong.
1
You're missing an important detail. When you bury food waste, you plant crops there.
1
@MatthewBurns8 Yes.
1
Then why not spell it Jee-shwen?
1
Yeah, they're slippery as hell - they know they're frauds, and they're being very careful.
1
If putting two things side by side disparages one of them, that's commentary!
1
It'd be more to the point if you busted the "CO2 causes global warming" scam, but that would end your career.
1
There's usually a box in the bottom of the fridge that composts vegetables.

A similar question occurred to me regarding stone-age arrow-heads. Firstly, for a given bow, a lighter, faster, arrow gives greater range or reduced travel-time (less time for the prey to run away). Also, a lighter arrow-head, being smaller, might improve penetration.
1
That's how lime mortar works. Take limestone (Calcium Carbonate) and decompose it with heat to make Calcium Oxide and CO2. Add water to the CaO to make Calcium Hydroxide, and that will absorb CO2 from the air to form Calcium Carbonate.
1
Yeah, it just refuses to play, for me (UK).

It's a weapons platform that he can sell to N.Korea, Iran, ... anyone. The Saudi's showed you can fly a missile to NY, if it looks like a passenger vehicle.

Yes, if there's a real lawyer behind that letter, he's not a real smart lawyer.

The projectile is a rocket (I think).
1
No, he said 6 km/hr - you don't listen.

There's a bunch of electromagnetic waves in a part of the spectrum called "visible light", and our local star - the Sun - produces loads of it.

"Junk science is junk science, no matter if it comes from a politician or a preacher." Q1. What if it comes from a scientist? "Climate change is real" Well duh! We're in in ice age - that's not normal. "It's no coincidence that every single year of the 40-or-so years that I've been alive has been one of the hottest top 20 on record." You can fit 40 years in the hottest top 20 years? Well done, you! It's no coincidence that the planet warmed while you were alive? Are you suggesting you control the planet? Ok. I should like to see your math on that. Yes, it's no coincidence that warm years happen in warm periods - the last 9,000 years has been a relatively warm period - an inter-glacial. The the 40 or 60,000 years before were a relatively cold period - a glacial period. We've had 10 of them in the last million years!
1
Speaking of bad scientists and coincidences ... A Prof of pediatrics said in court testimony "to lose one child (to SIDS) is tragic, to lose two is murder." He might as well have said "it's no coincidence that two children die if their mother is a murderer." But it's also no coincidence if two related children die of the same inherited condition, is it? So his probability calculations were wildly wrong (bad science) and caused a miscarriage of justice.

With complete absence of self-awareness, you typed that into a computer and broadcast it to the world.
1
Yup, wire-fraud - a felony.

You want to go East? There are two choices; 1) face East, then move, or 2) face West, get up to speed, then turn around really quickly.
