  5. You're missing the point. They make claims about their product. If they make a false claim, they commit fraud. If they make a meaningless claim, you can't know if it's true or not. I recall a film in which Jane Fonda was viewing an apartment that had "IOL in every room" - it turned out to be "instant-on lighting": you flick the light-switch and the the light comes on _instantly_! (Selling the speed of electricity as if it was a feature of the apartment.) If they don't make understandable claims, you shouldn't try to take what they said as meaning something else or you'll just be misleading yourself.
