  2. No it isn't. Peer-review is little more than a spell-check. Trying to prove a claim false is the very method of science. The "gold standard" of science is replication.

  7. The Luddites were craftsmen - weavers, whose livelihoods were threatened by mass production. For the vast majority of people, mass production meant affordable clothing. Those two dumbasses completely missed the point of that bit of history. Whose livelihood is threatened by SpaceX? Anyone's?

The original comment was pro falsification (but for the wrong reason - "bias").My reply was pro falsification (no reason given). The original comment thinks falsification is done in peer-review - I disagree. I'm fine with you calling me and OP "peers" and yes, I "reviewed" his comment, but it was already published, so my "review" had no effect.
