A big problem with the climate models is that they average them all together to get their "best guess" - as if the average of a hundred wrong answers is the right one.

We are in the quaternary ice age, and have been for over 2.6 million years.

The planet has been cooling for 8,000 years.

@djknox2 said " The bigger risk for temperature rise is likely water vapour." Water vapour and CO2 are moderators of temperature. With water it's easy to prove - compare daily temperatures in Brazil with Algeria. Nation, humidity MinT MaxT Brazil, 100% 20 C 30 C Algeria, 0% 10C 40 C

Nothing. No-one experiences global annual average temperature. Allegedly it's about 15 Celcius. No-one experiences their national annual average temperature. In UK, that's about 9.5 Celcius. You see that? I live where it's 5.5 Celcius below glob ann av temp. OMG, right? But wait. In January, the average temperature is just 6 Celcius"! In July, it's 16 Celcius! We get 10 degrees change in average temperature in just 6 months! And that means we can only grow food outdoors for half the year! How on Earth do we survive, you ask? Well, we live in houses, we wear clothes, and we store food.

@winstonsmith478 The IPCC said the ocean-atmosphere is a "close-coupled chaotic system that cannot be modelled." Then they ignored themselves and pretended it could be done.

Wildfires are not evidence of climate change - even the YouTube context panel says so! "Climate change refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns..."

It means he's deliberately trying to put his audience in an emotional frame of mind - he's a sociopath.

Maggie recanted.

@jamesmorrow1646 Everything you said is a lie. You also didn't cite any prediction.

@djknox2 You seem to think "moderation" = "cooling": it doesn't. Rain causes cooling because it's cold water - it absorbs heat from the air on the way down, and cools the ground when it gets there.Liquid water goes cold and stays cold because it loses heat by evapouration. (Isn't that obvious?) During the day, water on the ground absorbs heat and evapourates. This keeps daytime temperatures down. At night water vapour condenses, releasing heat, keeping night-time temperatures up. This is how humidity keeps Brazilian temperatures stable - moderate. In Algeria, humidity is low, so temperatures vary more - are less moderate.

@djknox2 Ah, ok, yes, I'll give you that - water vapour is very much more effective than CO2 as a "greenhouse gas", but my point is that "greenhouse gasses" do not simply cause warming: sometimes they warm, sometimes they cool, and the overall effect is moderation - a good thing..

I object to the paternalism you began with. How long was the French terror - 10 years? How long was the Soviet state terror? 1917-1991, 73 years How long was Chinese state terror? 1947 - 2022, 75 years NK? Chile? Argentina? Mexico has been at war almost the whole of its existence! Governments are massively more dangerous than public mobs.

Whilst I agree, I do not think that's a good rhetorical position; it invites alarmists to ignore you and continue on their destructive path.

@jamesmorrow1646 It looks to me like you've given the title of a research paper - that's not what was requested. I'll give you an example of a prediction. Mark "the Arctic ice is screaming" Sereze said "the Arctic will be ice-free by 2012." The three elements needed are ; who, what and when.
