@MrBagpipes the world and Portugal for that matter are far off better now than before. Portuguese people have never been richer as they are now so I dont understand what you are talking about. Every single portuguese colony is poorer than Portugal this alone proves my point of Portugal not needing any colony.

@MrBagpipes That's why you are wrong, Portugal it's far better than any of its former colonies and most of those colonies are third world countries. If you say that the portuguese were rich because of colonization how are those countries looking like now? Portugal was rich when had the spice monopoly in India only.

@MrBagpipes no, we never did that. Superior people have their own countries and culture for centuries and influenced the world in many different ways. Gave birth to different countries also, we did all of that, survived and are strill thriving. For your information Portugal was never a rich country before the independance of its colonies, that happened when we had the spice monopoly. Stop mixing things, you are confused.

@MrBagpipes all northen european economies outperform any other european country even central europe, should also these europeans feel ashamed also? After all, France, the UK, Italy, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, and even Germany had colonies.
