  1. Tax code section 174 was designed to fight inflation. Jerome Powell already said there are too much free money out there and unemployment is too low. Everyone has job so it drives prices up and create inflation. One of the things they are doing is to force company to lay people off to create higher umemployment thus helps fight inflation.
